Dorrie Brazier was born in Jandowae and raised on a property called Lonsdale, about 3 miles out of Jandowae, with 9 sisters and 4 brothers.

At the age of 23 years she married, moved into town and raised three daughters and a son, who have blest her with nine grand-children and several great grandchildren; so she is now a great great Grandmother.

She has survived two world wars, and seen the first train and planes that came to Jandowae.

Enjoying good health throughout her life she now occupies herself with crosswords, card games, socializing and the occasional outing. She has recently learnt how to play cards on the computer, showing you are never too old to learn.
