Following the appearance of Wambo shire workers planting trees into the roads of Jandowae, I asked the Jandowae councillors, the Wambo CEO, and the Mayor, why this was being done.
The Mayor, Mick Cosgrove, replied immediately by telephone to say:
The trees were being planted in the roads following a decision made at a public meeting held at Jandowae during the year 2000 to beautify the streets of Jandowae.
Councillor Ron Curd also replied in detail and added why he considered the tree-planting was a good idea.
Two days later Councillor Tom Bradley replied for himself and councillors D. Donald, K Hauff.
