9.†††††††† GENERAL BUSINESS
9.1 Betty Wassell presented a hand painted circular saw blade to the meeting. Depicting a horse drawn wagon loaded with logs it was painted by her friend Nita Keys. Resolved to raffle this item with tickets to be sold at $1.00ea. and to be drawn in time for Fathers Day.
9.2 The coming Timbertown Festival was discussed at length. Jan Bickerton is to draw up a roster for the Saturday opening of the cottage. On the Sunday tea/coffee and biscuits will be sold from the verandah at $3.00. Tables and chairs will be placed on the lawn but the gazebo will not be erected.† Plants will be available for sale. A sign is to be placed on the Shearers Quarters advising of its restoration and opening date.
9.3 Vince Scouller advised of a request from Jobsearch, Dalby, who was seeking work for a female person on the work for the dole scheme. They were advised that we could not assist.
